Chip was an officer in ROTC in High School and President of Aviation Explorer Post. Won First Place National Aviation Day, Aviation Exploring 1978 with their "Hover Craft" Project. Their group won the prize of flying to Houston to fly in the Goodyear Blimp, "American" and He was able to take controls of the blimp which was quite a thrill. He said it was really strange to look out and fly and have "No Wings." All the group had great pleasure in this experience. Chip loved life, people and helping others. Our only son with three loving sisters. He was the pride and joy any parent would be glad to call son. We can never add to our family name - Chip was deprived of the right to be a parent as well as the family was deprived of him growing to enjoy his full life with us together.
