L.C. Bonin was a native Texan, born at home in Spring, Texas on March 18, 1924. He was a World War II veteran. His occupations included welding and glazier work . He was very talented with his hands and could build almost anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed hunting & fishing and making things. L.C. Bonin was the father of four(4) sons and seven(7) daughters.

On November 18, 1978 (one of his daughter's birthday) L.C. was fatally shot in Porter, Texas. He died in the early morning of November 19. L.C.'s son David, was also murdered on November 18. Another son was wounded in the same incident, but survived. From the beginning, this double murder case was handled with capricious disregard by official sources. As a result, the murderer was allowed to escape justice and there has been no accountability of those who allowed it.

God has a justice system that no man escapes.
