VISION

Equal justice for Texas crime victims.

MISSION

To assist and empower crime victims through advocacy; information; outreach and education.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of TEJ are to:
  1. Provide direct assistance to victims of crime;


  2. Assess the unmet needs of crime victims, develop or promote services to meet those needs;


  3. Provide information and facilitate opportunities for self-education to empower crime victims to heal, work for positive change, and to help others;


  4. Represent and advance the interests of justice for crime victims in the State of Texas through advocacy in the areas of policy and legislation; and


  5. Advocate at all levels of the criminal justice system and judiciary on behalf of crime victims to insure that they are treated with dignity and respect and are afforded the rights available to them under the law.
