Protest Against Parole
Send letters, emails, or faxes protesting the parole of Angel Severiano Berson
Background
On 24 April 1999 Jeffrey Woods and his wife were arguing on the side of the road. Jeffrey left and his wife was going to walk to her grandmother's house. Bernon and another drove by and picked her up. Jeffrey saw them and he turned around. He tried to get her out of the car but door wouldn't open. He started beating on the back of the trunk and they got out. Bernon and his companion then beat and kicked Jeffery and left him lying in a ditch where he died. On 14 May 2001 Bernon plead to guilty to Aggravated Assault. While awaiting trial on 16 July 2001 Bernon assaulted his cell mate and on 30 May 2001 was sentenced to another 15 years to serve concurrently with his prior conviction. Bernon is currently up for Parole review. Please write ask that he be made to serve his entire sentence. In addition, to lessen the emotional trauma the parole review process has on the victim's family, please ask that for the maximum set-off for any future parole reviews.

Dear Board Members:
Re: Angel Severiano Berson TDCJ ID# 01044524
On 24 April 1999 Angel Severiano Berson beat and kicked Jeffery Woods to death. For his crime Berson was allowed to plead to Aggravated Assault and sentenced to 15 years. Berson has proved he is not a good candidate for parole by his actions on 16 July 2001 when he assaulted his cell mate. Due to the violent nature of the crime, justice demands that Angel Severiano Berson be made to spend every day of his sentence in prison. Please consider the maximum set off before future parole reviews.
Thank you for your consideration,
Sincerely,
