Protest Against Parole
Please send letters, emails, or faxes protesting the parole of Fermin Diaz Gomez.

Background
On September 6, 1989 Delores Garza was attacked and brutally murdered by Fermin Diaz Gomez. Mrs. Garza's throat was slit, she was stabbed in the heart, and she was shot twice. At the time of the attack Delores was 8 1/2 months pregnant with her first child. Fire Department paramedics raced Mrs. Garza to Ben Taub Hospital where she gave birth via emergency C-Section to a 5 lb. baby girl but due to the trauma associated with the murder of her mother she only lived one day. Mother and child were buried together.

Mrs. Garza had been friendly with Gomez's ex-lover, a woman identified only as Carla, who left the defendant because he beat her. Gomez blamed Mrs. Garza for the breakup. On Febuary 24, 1990 Gomez was found guilty of Murder and subsequently sentenced to Life in Prison. Now 15 years later he is up for parole review. Please assist the friend of this victim in keeping this animal behind bars where he belongs. Delores's friends and family will suffer a life time of grief it is only right that Gomez spend the rest of his life in prison.

Re: Fermin Diaz Gomez , TDCJ NO. 540345

Dear Board Members,

Please DO NOT grant parole to Fermin Diaz Gomez. As a concerned citizen, I am writing to protest the projected parole. On September 6, 1989 Femin Diaz Gomez brutally murdered Delores Garza. Femin was upset with Delores because he believed she caused the break up between he and his girlfriend and had refused to tell him her whereabouts. Mrs. Garza's throat was cut and she had been shot twice. Mrs. Graza was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time with her first child. Although Mrs. Garza this rushed to the hospital right away to have an emergency C-Section the child died the next day due to the trauma.

The friends and relatives of Delores Garza have been given a life sentence of grief from the lose of their loved ones. Gomez was found guilty of murder and also given a life sentence. Justice demands that he spend his entire life in prison.

In addition, to lessen the trauma for the victim, please consider a five year set-off before future parole reviews.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

(Your Name)
