Background
TARRANT COUNTY, TX - In the most horrific manner imaginable, Terence O'Regan murdered his wife, Lori O'Regan in the couple's home in Southlake, Texas by beating and savagely stabbing her to death during a brutal and protracted attack, late during the night before their divorce arbitration meeting scheduled the next morning. Dozens of wounds were documented, including deep, slicing cuts to both hands indicative of her self-defensive struggle as she fought for her life. The murder occurred inside her bedroom, and evidence showed that the initial stab wounds were delivered as she was in bed, asleep. She was starkly awakened while being murdered.

After rendering her unconscious, Terence O'Regan then attempted to conceal and clean the crime scene of the copious amount of blood which was present. After wrapping the body up with a shower curtain, he then contorted Lori's body, forcing it to fit as he stuffed her into a plastic bin box, the approximate size of a curbside recycling container. He covered the top of the container with clothing and hid the body deep inside a large bedroom closet, where it remained concealed for several days, behind the locked bedroom door. Terence O'Regan then packed his Chevrolet Corvette and fled Texas in the pre-dawn hours.

Terence O'Regan was arrested days later in Key West, Florida as he prepared to flee the country. During questioning by police, O'Regan was found to be calculating, unremorseful, self-righteous and obtuse regarding the murder. He stated that, "She got what she deserved for trying to divorce me, I warned her."

O'Regan was held without bond. During trial preparation he learned of the overwhelming magnitude of the evidence against him, and he negotiated a 30 year plea bargain on a charge of Murder.

Based on the ultimately grotesque nature and magnitude of the murderous attack, coupled with the perverse sexual overtones involving the motive and the ultra-narcissistic personality displayed during the investigation, it is believed and feared that Terence O'Regan is beyond reform, and is incapable of remorse to the point of sociopathy.  Please help to keep O'Regan in prison where he belongs.

Re: Terence Dennis O'Regan TDCJ-ID: 761019

Dear Board Members:

As a concerned citizen, I am writing to ask that you DO NOT grant parole to Terence Dennis O'Regan.  On October 7, 1994, Terence Dennis O'Regan murdered his wife, Lori O'Regan in the couple's home in Southlake, Texas by beating and savagely stabbing her to death.  After killing Lori, Terence Dennis O'Regan attempted to conceal and clean the crime scene.

The brutal and heinous nature of this murder should preclude any consideration for parole.  Justice demands that Terence Dennis O'Regan be made to spend every day of his 30 year sentence in prison.  Please DO NOT grant parole to Terence Dennis O'Regan.  To lessen the emotional trauma the parole review process has on the victims, please grant a five year or greater set-off for future parole reviews.

Thank you for your consideration,

Sincerely,

(Your Name)
