Protest Against Parole
Send letters, emails, or faxes protesting the parole of Thomas Lee Reissig

Background
On the morning of 26 August 1992, John Anthony Johnson, age 34 was brutally murdered in his own home by Thomas Lee Reissig. Reissig stabbed John with a kitchen butcher knife all the way from John's heart to his pelvis. John dragged himself a block for help.

Thomas Reissig was known for settling his scores with knifes. Two weeks prior to John's death Reissig cut John's thumb almost off. John was required to have 15 to 20 stitches to have his thumb reattached.

On 17 December 1993 Thomas Lee Reissig was convicted of 1st degree murder and was sentenced to 60 years in prison. But for John's mother was changed forever when she heard of the heinous violence committed on her son. No family should ever have to endure the pain and agony that she has had to endure. She has said this terrible tragedy feels like a bad dream that will never go away. The news of Reissig's upcoming Parole Review hearing has only added to her emotional suffering.

Re:Thomas Lee Reissig TDCJ ID# 677119

Dear Board Members,

Please DO NOT grant parole to Thomas Lee Reissig. As a concerned citizen, I am writing to protest parole for this offender. On the morning of 26 August 1992, John Anthony Johnson was brutally murdered in his own home by Thomas Lee Reissig. Reissig stabbed John with a kitchen butcher knife all the way from John's heart to his pelvis. John dragged himself a block for help.

Reissig continues to be a threat to society, even while in prison. He is a know member of the "Aryan Brotherhood" and has promised to settle the score with his sister and others who testified against him if he is released.

John Johnson was only 34 when Reissig cut his young life short. Reissig was sentenced to 60 years but John's family was sentenced to life. A life without their loved one, left only to grieve his passing.

Justice demands that Reissig be made to serve his complete sentence. In addition, to lessen the trauma for the victims' families, please consider a five year set-off before future parole reviews.

Thank you for your consideration,

Sincerely,

(Your Name)
