Protest Against Parole
Update!!

On 9 August 2006 Taylor's parole was denied and he was given a 5 year set off before he will be eligible for review again.
Send letters, emails, or faxes protesting the parole of Ronnie Lee Taylor

Background
On December 29, 1980, at a Tenneco gas station in Cleveland, Texas, twenty-three year old Janice Ford was stabbed four times with a pocket knife in a robbery that netted the murderer $26 dollars. Janice was able to walk some thirty feet to a pay phone where she collapsed and died. She was four months pregnant at the time.

Ronnie Lee Taylor, of Cleveland, pled guilty to this heinous murder in January 1981. While awaiting sentencing for the murder of Janice Ford, Taylor began serving a 35-year sentence for a robbery and murder in Harris County where the victim was also stabbed.

Taylor was sentenced to 99 years for the robbery and murder of Janice Ford. This sentence was to be added to the 35-year sentence from Harris County, for a total of 134 years.

Justice demands that he be made to serve his entire sentence in prison. In addition, to lessen the emotional trauma the parole review process has on the victim's family, please ask for the maximum set-off for any future parole reviews.

Re:Ronnie Lee Taylor, TDCJ-ID# 00322417

Dear Board Members,

Please DO NOT grant parole to Ronnie Lee Taylor. As a concerned citizen, I am writing to protest the projected parole. On December 29, 1980 Taylor robbed and murdered Janice Ford. Janice was 23 years old and pregnant. Taylor stabbed her 4 times and netted a total of $28.00.

The heinous nature of the murder of Janice Ford should preclude any consideration of parole for Taylor. His actions have shown that he has no regard for human life. For his crime Taylor was sentenced to 99 years in prison but he sentenced Janice Ford's family and friends to a lifetime of grief and sorrow.

Justice demands that Taylor be made to spend his entire sentence behind bars. In the interests of justice, public safety, and to lessen the emotional trauma for the victim's family, please consider giving Taylor a five year set off before any future parole reviews.

Thank you for your consideration,

Sincerely,

(Your Name)
