Protest Against Parole

Send letters, emails, or faxes protesting the parole of Allen Ladd Woody

Background
On the night of September 17, 1975, Allen Ladd Woody and an accomplise (Lyle Richard Brummett) picked up two girls in downtown Kerrville, Carol Ann London (18) and Elizabeth Pearson (15). The girls had car trouble. Woody and his accomplise drove both girls to a deserted pasture a few miles outside of Kerrville and raped and murdered them. They strangled the girls, then bashed their heads with rocks and sticks. They drove a short way down I-10 and ditched the girls clothes and underwear, which were found a few days later. On the day of the murder, Woody's accomplise had just been released on bail from Kerr County jail on a rape charge committed September 2nd then on November 16th he raped another girl in Kerrville. When Woody's accomplise was arrested on another unrelated rape and murder of another young woman in Austin. He was arrested and confessed to the Kerrville murders also, implicating Woody. Woody was charged with capital murder but the jury only found him guilty of murder and sentenced him to life in prison.

Re: Allen Ladd Woody TDCJ-ID# 268591

Dear Board Members,

Please DO NOT grant parole to Allen Ladd Woody. As a concerned citizen, I am writing to protest the projected parole. On the night of September 17, 1975, Allen Ladd Woody and a accomplice (Lyle Richard Brummett) picked up two girls in downtown Kerrville, Carol Ann London (18) and Elizabeth Pearson (15). The girls had car trouble. Woody and his accomplice then drove both girls to a deserted pasture a few miles outside of Kerrville and raped and murdered them. They strangled the girls, then bashed their heads with rocks and sticks. When Woody's accomplice was arrested during the investigation of another murder he confessed to killing the two girls and implicated Woody. Woody was convicted of the murders and given a life sentence.

Justice demands that Woody be made to spend his entire sentence behind bars. In the interests of justice, public safety, and to lessen the emotional trauma for the victim's family, please consider giving Woody a five year set off before any future parole reviews.

Thank you for your consideration,

Sincerely,

(Your Name)
